21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
It is so important to invest in your relationship with God. I really do not think that Jesus cares about the traditions you keep and the things you say. I think that what matters most is your heart and your relationship with Him. This should make everything a lot easier. You keep the greatest commandment, love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul, then, you do whatever you want. If you have that relationship set up and truly love Christ, your actions and your life will fall in order and on the day you meet your maker He will say welcome home and not say, I do not know you. It is not about what you look like to the world, it is about where you personally stand with Him.
