Away from me Satan

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” (Matthew 4:10 NIV84)

This is one of the few verses in the bible that falls under the “badass” category. Along with Romans 8:31, this is a verse that definitely shows the true power of the Lord. Who wouldn’t want to follow a god like this?

Billy, you forgot, Matthew 21:12-13. You can only imagine what that was like.

Good points. We don’t serve a weak God. He’s a freaking warrior. Revelations doesn’t say that the return of Christ is going to feature golden rays of sunshine, rainbows and Jesus coming in on fluffy clouds. He’s going to come back as a soldier.
